Restore

Restore old video with AI

You create. NOLGIA does everything else.

Restore old video with AI: bring a soft, noisy, compressed or interlaced clip, pick the engine for the problem, and get it back upscaled up to 8K. The most a run can cost is shown before it starts.

Restore: SeedVR2 RestoreThe closest to the original of the four engines we scored, with the cleanest edges. From Restore soft, noisy or old footage
The night motorcycle take from a generative pass, with crisp new detail on the cars and the bike
Restore: Starlight Fast RestoreThe sharpest looking of the four, because it draws new detail, and the furthest from what was really there. From Restore soft, noisy or old footage

How close each engine came to the original

We damaged a clean clip on purpose, restored it on four engines at 1080p, and scored every result against the clean original, frame by frame. On both measures, higher is closer.

FAQ

Questions about restoring video.

Which engine should I pick?
Start from the problem: up-res and detail for soft or small footage, denoise for grain, compression damage for blocky video, interlaced footage for tape and broadcast. In our scored test, SeedVR2 Restore came closest to the original.
How big can the result be?
Tiers run from 720p to 2160p, and to 4320p (8K) on the engines that offer it. The clip keeps its own shape inside the tier.
How long can the clip be?
From 1 to 120 seconds. Restore works on a video in your Library: upload it, or use one you made on NOLGIA.
What does a restore cost?
Engines are priced per five seconds of source at each tier. Before you start, the console shows the most the run can cost, and you are charged the lower of the metered cost and that figure. A restore that fails is refunded.
Can I try it for free?
Every new account starts with 350 free credits, no card required. Each model's card shows which plans it runs on.
